Leo's birthday

Yeah, here's another overdue post. Back at the start of July, Leo turned 2 (unbelievable!!) and we took a second-annual trip up to Auntie Karen's cottage so that we could kick back on the beach all weekend long. We had an awesome time. Here are some pictures.

So our kids love the water. In particular, they love their floaties, which allow them to share some water time with family members.

BUBBLES! Auntie Laramie had picked up this cool bubble machine that mesmerized both of the boys. Max popped bubbles while Leo did more staring at them.

Uncle James, Leo and I shared a brief pedalboat ride. Shortly after this, Leo wanted back to the shore while Max hopped back on (he had already done a 20 minute tour with the ladies).

The festivities at the cottage featured a water balloon fight as well as an Elmo pinata. The next couple of pictures may not be for the weak of heart.

See? I told you.

Mom and Leo, opening one of his many gifts.

Max, a deer in the s'morelights.

We set off some fireworks, much to Leo's delight and Max's chagrin (someone still doesn't care for loud noises).

On our last day at the cottage, Leo fell asleep in the van on the way to the beach and then Holly just decided to try to keep him asleep. So Holly sat down and eventually (almost an hour later), Leo slumped into this position. Classic!
